These high quality Horn Scales are manufactured in Germany and used for Ralf Aust Razors.
These replacement scales come in three sizes: Sm - Med - Large for pairing with 5/8, 6/8, or 7/8 razors.
No Pinning hardware is included. The wedge end is predrilled; the pivot end is not allowing you to drill it at the appropriate length for your razor.
Overall Length of scales and widest width measurable:
5/8 size: 5.50" x 0.73"
6/8 size: 5.68" x 0.76"
7/8 size: 5.84"" x 0.82"
Recommended maximum razor length (from tip of razor to the pivot hole on the tang):
5/8 size: 4.55"
6/8 size: 4.80"
7/8 size: 4.95"
The spacing between the scales is the same on all, and measures approx 0.090". Keep this in mind if you have a very thick blade (wedge) - get our your calipers, set them to 0.090", and see how deep the blade would sit in the scales.
